Pastor Ralstin and Carla Ralstin

Pastor Ralstin was born on February 21, 1964, in Redwood City, CA to Wharton & Stella Ralstin. Pastor Ralstin has a very strong Christian heritage and trusted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour on February 18, 1973, at the age of nine. Both of his parents were godly Christians, who understood the importance of being godly role models and raising their children in the “nurture and admonition of the Lord.”

Pastor Ralstin graduated from Tokay High School in Lodi, CA in 1982, and upon graduation moved with his family to the San Jose area to further his baseball endeavors by attending Foothill Jr. College for two years. He then attended the University of Pacific in Stockton, CA on a partial baseball scholarship. After two years of attending U.O.P., he was drafted by the Atlanta Brave Baseball Organization.  After only one year of competing professionally, God’s providential will would be accomplished in having his contract terminated the following season. Though the news would be disappointing, it would be used of God to be a motivating force behind the establishing of the Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Pastor Ralstin received his theological training at Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Florida, and would later transfer to Hyles-Anderson College. It was under the leadership influence of Dr. Jack Hyles, that Pastor Ralstin would receive excellent Bible training that would be an integral part of the ministry philosophy that would guide him in leading the Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Pastor Ralstin’s life verse is Proverbs 11:30 “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
